View Player Profile  Player Ryan Shaw Profile I started playing before I could walk. My mum and dad got me a small snooker table and just laid it on the floor. Later as I grew they cut the legs so I could reach it. I entered my first competition in 1999 at The Jersey Festival of Pool at the age of 5. At 7 I lost in the semi final of the junior section of the Jersey Pool Championship and at 9 I reached the Semi Finals of the mens doubles with the junior coach Paul Bolton. I have played in 3 European Championships; once aged 10 in the singles and twice aged 12 and 13 in the singles and as part of the Channel Island Team. In Bordeaux 2006 we were Junior runners up losing to England in the final. I have played in 2 World Championships in 2005 and 2007 aged 12 & 14. In 2004 aged 11 I lost in the singles semi final of the annual Taunton invitation competition. In 2006 aged 13 I lost in the semi final of the Channel Island Pool Championships and was part of the team that won the Channel Island International Junior Team event. I also play now as part of the Warwickshire Youth "A" Junior team and qualified for the Warwickshire under 15's grandprix but was unable to attend the Regional final due to our plane being delayed on the return from our holiday. I had my best success to date by being the youngest player to ever win the Jersey Junior Pool Championships on the 7th October 2007 with my new B & W Billiards custom made Harlequin cue.
